- Apple introduced a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro at its media event on March 21, 2016. The smaller iPad Pro replaces the previous iPad Air line and adopts many of the features from the larger iPad Pro such as Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard support, a four-speaker design, and more. Pre-orders for the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro began on March 24 ahead of a March 31 launch.

- The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is Apple's largest iPad yet, with a 2732 x 2048 resolution display, a powerful A9X processor, a super slim design, and a four-speaker audio system.
